May 2026 is a month of heavy shifts, moving from the deep, investigative waters of Scorpio into the grounded, almost stubborn density of Taurus, before speeding up into Gemini and Sagittarius energies. 


May is a double-ended emotional gauntlet month. We’re dealing with two Full Moons; a Blue Moon month, which means the intensity starts at a 10 and stays there until June. We start with a Scorpio Full Moon (May 1st) and end with a Sagittarius Full Moon (May 31st). It’s bookended by intensity. If you don't have systems in place by the second week, the Gemini noise at the end of the month will fry your circuits. If you’re waiting for the perfect time to get your life together, this isn't about perfection; it’s about survival.

We're going to break this month down into phases, to make it easier to manage. 

Phase 1: The Scorpio Purge (May 1 – May 7)

The Transits: Full Moon in Scorpio (May 1), Pluto turns Retrograde (May 6).

Scorpio rules the reproductive system and the colon, the parts of you designed to filter and eliminate. This isn't a light a candle moon; it’s a clean out the rot moon. If you’ve been holding onto a toxic habit or a stagnant project, your body will feel physically heavy or backed up until you move it.

This phase calls for physical and digital declutter time. This isn't about letting go with a candle ritual. This is about cleaning out your literal and digital gut. Delete the apps that piss you off or make you feel like an asshole, unsubscribe from the emails you never open, and drink enough water to keep your system moving. Scorpio energy doesn't care about your feelings; it cares about what’s rotting and needs to go.

A key thing to remember is that you don’t fix Scorpio energy; you surrender to the purge. Go and delete or block the people who drain you. Throw out the physical clutter that’s taking up space in your office. The more you clear out now, the less you’ll have to carry when the Taurus slugs hits next week.

Phase 2: The Taurus Build (May 8 – May 19)

The Transits: Mercury Cazimi (May 14), New Supermoon in Taurus (May 16), Mars enters Taurus (May 18).

Taurus rules the throat, neck, and thyroid. With Mars entering this sign, your drive slows down to a crawl. Mars in Taurus is like trying to sprint through wet concrete. If you try to force a hustle, expect tension headaches or a sore throat as your body’s way of saying no.

This is the software update audit or the low and slow work flow part of the month. Use the May 14th Cazimi to sit down and look at your logistics. Where is your business leaking energy? What part of your routine is a mess? Use the New Moon on the 16th to automate one boring task. If your goal isn't grounded in a physical system, it’s just a fucking fantasy.

Mars in Taurus is a slugglish energy. Stop trying to sprint, rush, or move to quickly. Use this window to set up your business automations, meal prep, or fix your sleep schedule. If it’s not grounded in reality, it’s not going to last. This is the infrastructure phase of your month.

Phase 3: The Gemini Pivot (May 20 – May 31)

The Transits: Sun enters Gemini (May 20), Full Blue Moon in Sagittarius (May 3).

Gemini rules the lungs and the nervous system. As the energy shifts from Taurus density to Gemini speed, your cortisol levels are at risk. The Blue Moon at the end of the month is a reality check on the stories you’ve been telling yourself.

This is your nervous system triage. The end of the month is for protection, not production. Limit your scrolling. Practice box breathing to keep your ribs moving and your lungs clear. Your nervous system isn't a 24/7 service provider; remember to give it some offline hours before the Sagittarius Moon exposes your burnout.

The end of the month is going to feel like 50 browser tabs are open at once. Limit most screen time and get back into your body. Sagittarius wants the big truth, but you won't find it if you're chasing every shiny new idea Gemini throws at you.

May 2026 isn't a month for hoping for the best. It’s a month for high-level maintenance. We are navigating a rare double Full Moon cycle that is designed to strip away the bullshit and force you into a more sustainable, grounded reality.

First half of the month: Focus on the Purge. If it’s stagnant, heavy, or dishonest, get rid of it.

Middle of the month: Focus on the Build. Use the mental clarity of the 14th to audit your life and the New Moon on the 16th to anchor it in a physical routine.

End of the month: Focus on Protection. Keep your nervous system intact while the world speeds up.
